[ Why does this app create a VPN connection? ]
In order to change DNS settings without needing root permissions, this app establishes a local VPN connection. This VPN connection is purely for applying your configured DNS servers on both Wi-Fi and mobile data, and no data leaves your phone through this connection. You can verify this by reading packet logs or simply checking the System VPN dialog, where you will not find any sent or received data information, as it is not a true VPN connection.
